My Role

UI DESIGNER

(Overview)

TLAC is a Mexico-based FoodTech platform that helps users access healthy, chef-curated meals in a convenient way. Customers can either order ready-made meal preps delivered to their doorstep or purchase the ingredients needed to prepare the meals themselves at home.

LIVE

MY ROLE

(UI DESIGNER)

I redesigned of TLAC’s website and web application, working closely with the founder to transform an outdated and cluttered experience into a more intuitive and user-focused product. My responsibilities spanned user flow optimisation, high-fidelity UI design and mobile responsiveness improvements.

CHALLENGE

(THE PROBLEM)

The existing experience contained excessive content, outdated visuals, and unclear navigation. Key actions such as exploring meal plans and placing orders required unnecessary effort, making the platform feel confusing and difficult to use.

GOAL

(GOAL)

The primary goal of the redesign was to improve clarity and usability, simplify the meal ordering experience, modernize the platform’s visual design, strengthen user trust and credibility, and deliver a seamless experience across mobile and desktop devices.

PROCESS

(DESIGN PROCESS)

The redesign began with a critical evaluation of the existing product experience to identify structural gaps and points of friction across core user journeys, particularly within meal discovery and ordering flows. This analysis focused on understanding how design decisions were impacting usability, decision-making, and overall user confidence in the platform.

From these insights, I restructured the experience to reduce cognitive load and improve end-to-end flow efficiency, ensuring that key actions were more intuitive and logically connected. In parallel, I refined the visual system to align with the platform’s evolving capabilities, strengthening clarity, consistency, and perceived trust across the interface while supporting a more scalable product foundation.

OUTCOME

(OUTCOME)

The redesign delivered a clearer and more intuitive user experience, making it easier for users to navigate the platform and complete key actions. The updated interface also helped position the product as a more modern and trustworthy solution.
